Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an author, philanthropist TV personality, and the owner of the liberally independent online newspaper The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece she came to England when she was just 16 and then graduated at the age of 16 from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first graduate from outside the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated journalist after graduating and when The Huffington Post launched a few years later, she developed an online platform to voice opinions that provided criticisms of political situations. Her status as a celebrity helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 after she decided to be an independent in the California recall election to replace Governor Davis. The project she headed was a Detroit initiative to make cars more fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as the 12th most influential woman on the planet in 2009 and Guardian added her to the Top 100 List of Media at the time. In 2011 AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of the media company, which also included a number of that were then AOL brands too, like Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos journalist father and a management consultant. Even though she was in a close connection to both her father and mother but it was their connection that helped shape her. She displayed leadership qualities at an early age. When she was 16 she started her studies in her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. When she was in the college years, she enrolled in the college debate society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. Her graduation was in 1972 and she earned an MA in Economics. She was a journalist, a TV host and as a columnist shortly after her graduation. Her appearance on Face the music with Bernard Levin was also a highlight. She began writing books with his guidance for editing.
