Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, as well as a teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father is British, as is her mother is an Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her working in rehearsals for plays. At the beginning of her career, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna was transferred from Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in 1999.
