Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. It was a long road for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller role. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting as models weren't considered skilled actors and typically were given less parts. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger parts beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In 2005, she took part in the leading role of The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she'd been looking for for over a decade. Amy was later a star in major film projects including the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
