Amy Smart has been a model, actress and former American. Growing up and being raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure a part for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was extremely intense. Amy had a difficult time making the leap from modeling into acting because models are not usually considered to be actors of any kind. They are usually given smaller and unimportant parts. Amy did not give up. She made her way into bigger roles, beginning in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. In 2005, she was cast as the lead in the romance comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been trying for for more than a decade. The actress continued to appear in important films like Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular part of the cast.
